Long Weekend Total Access Getaway
An Unforgettable Día de los Muertos Celebration in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
October 31st – November 3rd 2025
There’s something magical about celebrating life, death, and everything in between with people who truly understand the art of living well.
This October, we invite you to join fellow members for an extraordinary long weekend in one of Mexico’s most enchanting colonial cities, where ancient traditions meet modern luxury, and every moment becomes a memory worth treasuring.
San Miguel de Allende isn’t just a destination – it’s a living, breathing work of art. This UNESCO World Heritage site transforms during Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) into something transcendent, where cobblestone streets echo with laughter, marigold petals carpet ancient pathways.
We’ve crafted this experience not just as a trip, but as an immersion into one of the world’s most beautiful cultural traditions.
Imagine spending three perfect days with kindred spirits who appreciate both adventure and authenticity. Picture yourself sipping world-class wines among rolling vineyard hills, soaking in ancient thermal waters, and then transforming into a stunning Catrina for Mexico’s most spectacular parade.
This isn’t just about checking boxes on a tourist itinerary – it’s about creating genuine connections, both with each other and with a culture that celebrates life in all its forms.
We’ve chosen Our Habitas as our home base, a boutique hotel that perfectly captures the spirit of San Miguel – sophisticated yet soulful, luxurious yet authentic.
From this beautiful sanctuary, we’ll explore everything this magical city has to offer, from its world-renowned culinary scene to its artisan traditions, all while building the kind of friendships that only come from shared adventures.
This is your invitation to step away from the ordinary and into something extraordinary. To raise a glass with new friends against the backdrop of a sunset-painted colonial cityscape. To laugh until your cheeks hurt while getting your Catrina makeup done. To dance in the streets during a parade that’s been captivating hearts for centuries.
This is Total Access at its finest – where luxury meets authenticity, and every member becomes part of something larger than themselves.

Useful Information
Weather and Clothing
November is considered one of the best months to experience San Miguel de Allende, with perfect weather characterized by high temperatures and minimal rainfall. Expect comfortable daytime highs averaging 74-79°F (23-26°C) and cooler evenings that drop to around 47-50°F (8-10°C). The month typically sees only about 2 rainy days with minimal precipitation, making it an exceptionally dry and pleasant time to visit.
At 6,400 feet altitude, San Miguel enjoys a high, dry climate that makes for comfortable sleeping weather without needing air conditioning.
When it comes to packing, the key is versatile layering.
For daytime activities like vineyard tours and city exploration, pack lightweight, breathable clothing: cotton t-shirts, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, and a light sweater or jacket for transition times.
For evening activities, including our Catrina parade, bring warmer layers such as a cozy sweater, light jacket, or wrap – you’ll want to be comfortable while wearing your stunning Day of the Dead makeup and costume.
Don’t forget comfortable walking shoes for cobblestone streets, a light rain jacket (just in case), and perhaps a stylish scarf that can double as both a fashion accessory and extra warmth when the sun goes down.
Most importantly, bring layers that you can easily add or remove as the temperature shifts throughout the day.
Catrina Parade Clothing
This is where you can get creative! Traditional Catrina attire includes elegant dresses, flowing skirts, or sophisticated outfits in black, white, or vibrant colors that complement the sugar skull makeup. Think vintage-inspired pieces, lace details, or bohemian-style clothing.
Men can embrace the elegant, sophisticated spirit with dress shirts (white or black work wonderfully), dress pants or dark jeans, and add dramatic flair with vests, suspenders, bow ties, or decorative blazers.
Electrical Outlets
Mexico uses the same Type A and B electrical outlets as North America, so your phones, cameras, laptops, and other devices will plug in without any special adapters needed. The voltage is 127V compared to 120V in the US, which is perfectly compatible with all your electronics, so you won’t need any voltage converters either.
However, it’s worth noting that some accommodations in Mexico may only have 2-prong outlets available, so if you have devices with grounding pins (like laptop chargers), consider bringing a small 3-to-2 prong adapter just in case.
